Celebrating Excellence: Obelisco Crowned 2026 Winery of the Year
This milestone reflects years of passion poured into every bottle and highlights Obelisco’s commitment to crafting world‑class wines that embody the character, depth, and beauty of Washington State’s vineyards.

Betsy Long has witnessed every chapter of modern American winemaking since she and her late husband, Doug, first planted grapes on Pritchard Hill in Napa Valley in 1971. Retirement was the plan when they later moved to Washington—but Doug’s passion for winemaking was impossible to leave behind.
After discovering Red Mountain and recognizing its extraordinary potential, the path forward became clear. Together, with close friends who later stepped away from the partnership, they founded Obelisco. Their first vintage in 2007 transformed a shared vision into a thriving reality, rooted in exceptional terroir and decades of experience.
